Work is underway to enhance our church, hall and grounds. The toilets in the hall have been replaced and upgraded. The driveway and the grounds of the church have been re-surfaced. The roof of the Reid Hall has been fixed.
St Mark’s select vestry took the decision to go ahead with these projects in faith. We look to the future in hope, believing, that we have a viable Christian witness in this area.
The prophet Ezekiel would be proud of us. Ezekiel’s teaching was centred on inner conversion. He wants everyone to have a new heart and a new spirit. These are given by God.Ezekiel was a visionary as the four long, imaginative visions in the book show. Ezekiel had spiritual penetration and he has been called “father of Judaism”. Ezekiel would have been proud of the vision shown by St mark’s. St Mark’s steeped out in faith with St Mary’s – vice-versa. St mark’s is now continuing to be “visionary” as we continue in faith with this refurbishment programme outlined above. I want to thank the vestry for their courage and leadership as they look to the future.
“They shall live under the shelter of my dwelling; I will become God and they shall become my people.”
